Water Cooled Red Wing Motor 1/4 Scale. This is a factory machined and completed engine.

The 5 HP Red Wing Engine was the inspiration for this quarter scale version. This model is fully functional and has a 2 inch stroke, a 1.25 inch bore and has 8 inch flywheels. It runs on camping fuel and uses a buzz coil as an ignition source.

This bronze and iron engine is completely machined, painted, assembled, tested and ready to run.

The engine is all hand machined! (The drain cock shown is optional (drain cock part DC-3, $27.00)).

Air Cooled Red Wing Motor 1/3 Scale - Engine Casting Kit

The 2.5 HP air cooled Red Wing Engine was the inspiration for this fully functional one third scale model. It runs on regular gasoline and uses a buzz coil as an ignition source.

This bronze and iron engine comes with 10 bronze castings and 11 iron castings and several small parts such as springs, gears, piston rings and other small parts needed to build your engine along with a complete set of working drawings.

This high quality Buzz Coil provides a powerful spark. It will operate from a wide range of DC voltages. A small 9 Volt rechargeable battery pack is commonly used as a power source. It works just as well when a 12 Volt car battery is used as the power source. The box measures 4-1/2" x 2-3/4" x 3-1/4" tall and is constructed from Oak.

1903 De Dion casting kit with Gears.

The "De Dion 1903" from Classic Motors is a detailed copy of one of the first car engines built in large numbers. It is in scale 1:4 ; has much tourque at low revvs and is therefore a very good choice for a scale car of this period. This slow running 17cc fourstroke engine has an automatic inlet valve and an exhaust valve operated by a single cam. It runs excellent on 2-stroke mixture and can be used with spark ignition or glow ignition.

There are available casting kits including: castings for crankcase, cylinder, timing case, flywheels (bronce) and material for liner (nearly perfect inside) and piston ;gears and drawings are included. Also available is a CD with over 100 photos of building the De Dion. A very good help as you see each detail and assembly.
