The Stuart S50 is an elegant model 'Mill Engine' of the type used to power small factories in the north of England during the mid-nineteenth century.

As with all Stuart Models Machined Kits it is supplied ready to run complete with a hand numbered certificate of authentication.

The Stuart 10H is a development from the popular 10V Engine. It is more than capable of 'doing work' and can easily power a small dynamo or pump.

This small horizontal engine offers both power when run at high speed and visual interest when operated at slow crankshaft speeds.

For many years we were asked to produce a twin cylinder horizontal engine, the Stuart Score was the answer. It is closely related to the Stuart D10 but is distinctive enough to be attractive in its own right.

The James Coombes is based on a table engine reputed to have worked for more than a century at a Bristol colliery. The original engine developed approximately 20 horsepower at 60 psi running at 40 r.p.m. This model is scaled down one inch to the foot (1:12).

The Stuart Half Beam is a recent addition to our range. Based on the Stuart Beam this engine is relatively slow moving with the advantage of only requiring a small boiler to run.

Under steam the intricate movement of the valve gear combined with the elegant rocking of the beam make this engine almost mesmerizing to watch.

The Stuart Victoria follows closely the design of low pressure horizontal engines used throughout the nineteenth century, to provide power in workshops and factories. The large flywheel allows the engine to run smoothly at low speeds where the long elegant stroke can be appreciated.
