Crane stack with pulleys on rear tender, Front Dynamo double ended, exciter dynamo - on bracket, working unit.

This model is a copy of the largest Burrell Engine Built

Color Selections for Body and Wheels (you can mix and match) Black, Dark Blue, Cream, British Racing Green, Maroon, Red, Yellow

Boilers are Silver Soldered and Pressure Tested to 90 psi. A signed test certificate is issued.

Wheels- Extruded Dural Rims with steel hubs. Steel spokes are riveted to rims and silver soldered to hubs. Rubber tires are supplied or wheels have machined strakes depending on model.

Smoke box and Chimney - Machined of steel tube and fabricated with separate chimney designed to give maximum pull for the fire.

Gears - The gears are specially machined to conform to the scale and authenticity. The two steel crankshaft gears are operated by forks and levers with clamps and locating pins.

Lever control, pivoted at the Cab side with a spoked wheel, working brake drum

A hand pump is fitted for the water feed connected to the boiler base with a Check Valve and in-line globe valve, 5/16" dia ram. Tank Cover plates with hand rail.

Flywheel - Solid steel disk (5" Dia) with brass ring and center or spoked wheel and rubber belts, where necessary are supplied.

Crankshaft unit - Machined in one piece steel (5/16" diameter journal), with brass bearings, cams and con rod. Stephenson Link Valve Gear in Steel with Brass activating rods.

Engine- Cylinder Block, 5/8" Dia Bore X 1" Stroke, is machined from Naval Brass in one piece, the bore and ports jig milled in suit.

Valve chests are brass with end bearings
Slide valves are brass with adjustable buckles.

The is double acting
Piston is stainless steel with packed glands and rods. 5/8" Dia bore x 1" stroke.
Fine running valve in parallel with lever throttle.

Standard Fittings Whistle - Safety valve - lubricator (lever) - hand rails - brass lamps with lens - side plates - pressure gauge - glass water level - copper pipes throughout - brass rimmed edging - brass boiler bands - winding drum with cable - fine running valve.

Finish
A superb, durable and easily maintained enamel finish is achieved. Parts are grit blasted before powder coating at 222 C(400 F)

Cabs - The cab is in steel with brass edging, including handrail, steps and wire rope roller assembly, the scenic engines having a set of pulleys for the cable lift when fitted.

Burrell Ploughing Engine

Rear wheels 7" diameter, 16 spoke with machined strakes. Width over rear wheels 10"

Front wheels - 4 1/2 diameter, 12 spokes with machined treated

Front Axle 1/2" square steel
Rear Axle 1/2" Diameter steel
Tender - Steel fabricated with steps, fairlane roller system, horse and hose clips, water tank with pump.

Gears
16 gears, including two bevels for the vertical drive. Gear guard and twin speed, lever operated.

Flywheel - 5" diameter fabricated in steel with dished spokes.

Cable winding drum - operated from the crankshaft with bevel gears, including internal reduction gears at 10-1 reduction for cable winding and original Monkey Gear

Crane Engine Gas Fired
