Maxwell Hemmens precision model Steam Engine & Boiler: Horizontal single cylinder Mill style, boiler & wood display plate. Engine is Stuart single-cylinder S-50 horizontal, 5/8” bore x 1-1/4” stroke, base length 8-1/2,” painted green. Flywheel 3-3/4” diameter. Boiler is horizontal Caton 2-1/2” diameter by 6” long plus the flame tube, making overall boiler length 8-1/2.” Engine & boiler mounted to metal plate painted black, then to finished wood base 20” long x 6” wide with felt undersurface. Output shaft is ¼” diameter & center 2” above bottom of metal plate. Hemmens oval label mounted to metal plate in front of the Stuart engine. Overall height with stack in place (removed for shipping) 9.” Weight 9.3 lb. Includes bottle of Hemmens oil & Hemmens valve head. Includes paperwork, catalogs & invoices, shows new purchase direct from factory 1988. Turns over easily & all valves operate. Unit has never been run.
