Wilesco steam engines have gone into the new millennium with a T 90 Steam Turbine.
They are the successors of the traditional steam engines and replaced it more and more during the last decades. Turbines are used today in the aeronautics as well as in power stations. The first model of this range is mounted on a light-colored and printed base plate. A graph shows the course of the torque dependent on the speed and a manometer shows the pressure in the nickel plated boiler. Of course, Wilesco's accessories - which are of known quality - can be operated with the Steam Turbine T 90. Finely painted metal base plate 12.5 in x 10 in. Height, including smoke stack, 12.5 in. Weight: 5 lbs.

A working electric train acessory for the livesteam turbine 'Tornado'. This is a special acessory for the miniature live steam power plant 'Tornado'. But it's also possible to drive it by a 5 Volt DC source.

The model is runing on H0 scale rails. Powered by the generator on the Live Steam Turbine Tornado. Includes HO scale oval track.

This offer contains also 2 waggons, a speed controler and a railway set (Made by PIKO). The steam turbine is NOT part of this offer.

The rails are easy to put down on a area of 3.6 x 2.9 ft. The weight of the whole set with wooden box is 4.2 lbs

This turbine works like a gas turbine or jet engine. The working fluid is water.
It utilizes a pump and an evaporator.

Below the turbine is a fixed capacitor and a acrylic glass consisting of non-pressurized water tank. Above the turbine is the gas burner.

The principle operation of the steam turbine:
Water is pumped into the turbine. The upper part of the evaporator is about 1mm thick, a thin flat layer of water comes in contact with the upper wall of the turbine. This wall is heated by the gas burner and brings the trapped water to the boiling point. The pumps and evaporation run simultaneously
The opposite of centrifugal force, the fulcrum of the turbine steam is flowing through a line to the circumference of the turbine and flows out through jet propulsion. Then the steam is passed through a condenser tube, the resulting water flows back into the water tank.

WORLDS SMALLEST LIVE WORKING STEAM TURBIN ENGINE
Our newly engineered high-powered Turbine 50 is made of non corrosive metals. The special turbine wheel has a diameter of 50 mm. The pilot valve has two 0.9 mm nozzles arranged opposing in a 30° angle. With this specially designed pilot valve this turbine is variable in speed: forward, backwards, slow, stop. The turbine blades are displaced in a 180° angle on the periphery of the turbine wheel and the steam or compressed air propels the turbine blades.
