With this Wilesco D 5 kit, steam fans are shown how nostalgic energy is created. For this purpose every kit contains an easy to understand and illustrated instruction pamphlet. Even the least experienced model builder can assemble this kit in a very short time. The assembly contains no soldering work as all components are screwed together. This kit has the same specifications as the factory produced D 6 Steam Engine.
This is the Smallest Steam engine we carry. It is an entry level engine. It has enough power to run itself. It can not run any accessories. (Esbit is not included)

There is the first experimental kit by Wilesco. The kit of a steam engine (Wilesco D5 Kit) together with a dynamo and electronic components are combined to an experimental and learn unit. After the assembly of the steam engine there is nothing left to hinder the proverbial grasp of electrical devices. KIT FORM of the Wilesco D 409 Showman Engine.

A fully working live steam engine from the range of Wilesco Hobby Technique. This technically perfect model D 409 has been painted in matching colors. A chemically black painted brass boiler, diameter 1.8", length 7.3", boiler volume 14 in with water gauge glass. Powerful, double action reversible cylinder. Flywheel with a diameter of 3.2". The showman's engine can be run in forward or reverse depending on the movement of the flywheel. Spring loaded safety valve, steam regulator, steam whistle, steam jet oiler and footbridge, traditional chain steering. A clutch engaged gear wheel permits the use of the engine and the operation of the dynamo either stationary or driving. The dynamo illuminates the eight diodes mounted around the canopy of the engine. The condensed water of this engine is collected below the smoke stack. Operating time about 15 minutes per fuel charge. All single parts are manufactured from finely painted metal. Length 13.0", width 5.9", Height 7.9", Weight: 4 lbs.

One 1 oz Bottle Steam Cylinder Oil.

Valvata J has excellent film strength. Viscosity Grade 460. Developed by Shell for the sole purpose of lubricating steam cylinders in the presence of wet steam.
1 oz bottle.

Esbit fuel tablets differ from most other solid fuel tablets in that they are non-toxic and completely consume themselves when burned. Most other fuel tablets leave a toxic residue behind. The manufacturer states that Esbit fuel tabs can be safely burned inside a properly ventilated room. They are very small and extremely light weight. They burn for about 15 minutes and are a great toy steam engine fuel.

Sold by the box. One box contains 20 tablets 4 grams each. Shown in picture is one CASE of esbit which contains 36 boxes.
